5. Route 4-Flat over to jack storage area.

Replace the black cargo liner and store

4-Flat wire in jack compartment when

not in use

WARNING

All connections must be complete for the

T-Connector to function properly. Test and

verify installation with a test light or trailer

once installed. For initial test, reset vehicle

electrical system by temporarily removing

the key from the ignition.

6. Reinstall jack storage door, access door,

threshold, rear cargo door and other items

removed during installation, being careful

not to pinch or cut the wires.

WARNING

Overloading circuit can cause fires.

DO NOT exceed lower of towing

manufacturer rating or:

• Max. stop/turn light: 1 per side (2.1 amps)

• Max. tail lights: (4.2 amps)

TOOLS REQUIRED:

Trim Panel Remover, Ratchet, 10mm socket

or Wrench

1. Open the vehicle’s rear tailgate. On the dri-

ver's side, remove access door on the trim

panel, then open rear cargo door. Remove

threshold, jack storage door and pull back

black cargo liner. Set aside all items removed

being careful not to damage parts. Locate

vehicle’s grey electric junction box

2. Starting from the cargo area, route the white

T-Connector end up and behind the trim

panel to the junction box area. Plug the white

T-Connector end into the mating connection

in the electric junction box

3. On the driver's side, underneath the trim

panel area between the cargo area and the

junction box, clean a flat area using a mixture

of rubbing alcohol and water. Mount the T-

Connector black box using double-sided tape

provided

4. Route the white wire with eyelet towards the

center of vehicle near the threshold area.

Locate the existing ground stud

. Using a

10mm socket or wrench remove the bolt and

place the white wire with eyelet around the

bolt and re-tighten.

WARNING

Make sure all other ground connections are

secure when removing and reattaching the

ground stud.
